#5

You looks around, Your eyes adjusting to the sudden flush of sun. You recognizes this place, though You's never found this cave before! This is in the woods, not far from Your fields, Your house, and indeed, Susie's house as well. You can smell the scent of the fuel-plants nearby. In fact, You believes You can follow this smell home.

You walks through the woods and indeed, You comes across the fields. There is a sight that sends You running—the mower that Susie was riding in Your memory is still there. In fact, some of the stalks that were bent when You laid down to take Your nap are still in such a state. It can't have been very long at all.

As You gets close to the mower, You sees that the reeds have tiny spots of dried blood of them. You suddenly begins to feel cold with fear, and concern for Susie—but then You touches the back of Your head. You feel a sort of crustiness, and realize that this must be Your blood. There's so little of it on the reeds that Susie may have gotten away. However, the fuel-tubules on the mower have been ruptured; their cargo has been spent onto the soil. You won't be using this unit anytime soon. Perhaps whatever it was that attacked You had some sort of struggle with Susie? The tubes have been clawed through, at any rate. Which confirms what You saw in Your head—your attacker had talons of some kind. Though it didn't seem to resemble (from the briefly look You got at it) any sort of animal You knows.

That's when You looks up, and You sees Your house. The walls have been broken open like eggshells, and claw marks are everywhere.
